By Olufemi Yahaya (Daily Independent) 7 February 2010 Kogi State government has received the report of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry on the recent Obehia/Okengwe crisis, which caused untold number of deaths and destroyed much property last December in Okene Local Government Area. While presenting the report to Governor Ibrahim Idris at Government House, Lokoja, the committee chairman, Mr. Osmond Onoja, stated that the panel was set up on December 28, 2009 to look into the immediate and the remote causes of the crisis.
